Solo acoustic

After coming back from holidays, its straight to work at the studio. A first solo tryout will be followed by a tryout with one of the singers that very regularly visits the studio, Hanny. Eventually the plan is to perform live regularly. Of course the studio work also keeps on going. As I always say: “I don’t make the music, it comes to me”. I truly hope that one day you will come and visit B2FAB, somewhere, somehow and that Hanny and I will be able to amaze you with a great live show.

SoundCloud gets less and less listeners. To be prepared, all music is now also available at hearthis.at. Very unfortunate because I quite enjoyed SoundCloud for its ease of use and its open and musician friendly platform. More than once I saw people building their own radio station from mixes of underground, indie and mainstream music. Tuning into new songs from their favorite artists. Since its no longer a free service and starts asking for money, its all downhill. I still hope that SoundCloud can find a way up and also serve to the underground and indie artists. We will see. Even though its only a home studio. The studio needs an upgrade once in a while. Editing 4K video is now standard for all new clips and I found that the latest music software expects a little bit more to power it. Even though the latest new hardware really is not that much faster than a few years ago, there have been advances in power usage as well. Christmas 2016

This year ended with a bang. Finally everything came together in the new Waiting for a Miracle EP. Planned for last year, but hey? How can you plan new songs? Adding up the numbers for me also ended on a positive note. More than 2000 views on YouTube and more than 4500 listens on SoundCloud. To my surprise we were actually very welcome to spend a morning filming the the RMO Leiden. The Rijksmuseum voor Oudheden or Dutch National Museum for Antiquities. Iris, in charge of the communication was very kind and managed to give us all freedom to make this clip. It was the first ever request for filming a music video clip, she told us, as the museum is more used to TV and documentary film crews with focus on the actual collection.
