I was looking for a way to make a song about the loss of my little 8 year old cousin. She died from cancer and fought and lost a hard battle. Should it have been a children’s song or a ballad? It is a more up tempo song but with a touch of melancholy. Symbolizing the life that goes on for everyone left behind and the frozen memories that remain. I hope you enjoy the song, but at the same time get touched by the same emotions I felt when writing it.
